Happy 6th Birthday, Tyler!

Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one alive who is you-er than you! ~Dr. Seuss
Dear Tyler,
Today is your big day!  You are officially SIX YEARS OLD!  I can’t even begin to tell you all the joy you have brought into our lives in SIX years.  You make us smile and laugh every day, prove to us how much smarter you are on a daily basis, you are full of energy (we wish we could bottle it up and sell) and you are so caring and compassionate.  YOU are an amazing little (big) person!

You are past the point of baby milestones.  I can tell you that you have started stroke school, have excellent grades and are a 99%er kid!  How Dad and I have helped you accomplished all this is beyond us.

Today is extra special because it is also Father’s Day.  How exciting is that!?  You and Dad are celebrating the day together!  You were born the day before Father’s Day, and this year your birthday falls on Father’s Day.  Dad is taking you to see Madagascar 3… I am jealous!!!
Yesterday was your birthday party at the Zoo.  Oh My Gosh, it was a BLAST!  We had so much fun, you and your friends were so well behaved, we are unbelievably lucky!!
You are an amazing big brother.  Presley is so lucky to have you, and you her.  You love to read books to her, help her around, play with her, sing to her, share with her, teach her new words almost daily and calm her down in the car (which isn’t easy!).
People still stop us and tell us how good looking you are.  I know there is a certain point where people tend to stop complimenting kids, usually after the baby stage is what scientists claim, but not you.  You are just that good looking… as you put it “smarts from Dad, looks from Mom”… see you are really smart!!!  I’ve seen kids with your hair color, or eye color, but never a kid that looks similar to you.  You are one of a kind.
Well, I hope that you have the most wonderful day today.  We are so blessed to have you, and I thank God for you.  He trusted us with you, and I am beyond grateful for that.
Love always,
Mom and Dad
